History of Hackathon

Assam Hackathon was organised by ASTU in October 2018 where 25 teams participated.

The Northeast hackathon was organised by ASTU in association with StartupAssam in September 2019 at Maniram Trade centre, Guwahati where around 93 teams participated out of 300 colleges across Northeast India during the competition where three were awarded prizes along with various other prizes. The second and third prizes were won by the teams from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G) and  Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati, respectively. These top three  teams were rewarded in the form of prize money – Rs 1,50,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.  

The NorthEast Business Webinar 2020 was organized on September 12, 2020 to facilitate startup founders/professionals to grow their network in the two ASEAN countries of Bangladesh and Bhutan. It provided a platform for participants to network with people of both the market, exchange ideas and contacts, and start businesses in both the markets across different sectors. The attendees comprised students, businessmen, startup founders and entrepreneurs.
