The Northeast Startup Festival is a programme aimed towards bringing together the various sectors of the startup ecosystem across the Northeast, in the forms of hackathons, business summits, startup conclaves, investor conclaves and various other competitions in the startup zone.  The Northeast Startup Festival is a concept created by StartupAssam after the subsequent activities of startups in Assam and research in the field of organizing business plan competitions and Hackathon by Assam Hackathon in October 2018 and the Northeast Hackathon in September 2019 under TEQIP III, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India of Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati.
